Watermelon Moon & Stars is a very unique variety with very sweet, bright red flesh. This legendary variety was rediscovered in rural Missouri. The large oval fruits weigh up to 40 pounds and the dark green skin is speckled with bright yellow splashes ranging from star to moon size. The leaves are also speckled.

Instructions

Start seeds indoors 4 weeks before transplanting outdoors. Take care not to disturb the roots when transplanting. Or, sow 6 seeds over a hill 9-12 inches tall and 2 feet across. When plants are 3 inches tall, thin by cutting to 3 plants per hill. Use a balanced fertilizer to increase yield.
